is it different from other ESPs?
VSC…. ESP….curve control….all the same
I think Ford is trying to compete with Land Rover.
@GTGTRR From what I can understand. ESP or stability control only controls individual wheels, which means it’s only useful to prevent the tail from coming out or the car from plowing forward. This brakes all four wheels to keep the entire vehicle on course. Think of it as being able to tighten your turning radius at higher speeds. You might not be skidding, but we all know when speeds increase, so does your turning radius, this is supposed to combat that.
I dont knowif i like this idea, i’m sure it is safer, but it also still removes some of the responsibility of driving from the driver, and I’m not sure that it wouldn’t step in too often
@govols1199 there’s a bunch of irresponsible drivers out there….anyways, if you feel cocky you could turn it off. i dunno if it is an option but my uncle’s ML55AMG has a switch for it
